Minty Fresh Bum…another lesson to read the label
For those of you who have seen my “What The Heck Am I Doing?” show, will remember the story about giving my son his Vitamin D drops. On a similar note, today my husband had a gentle reminder to slow down and read the labels.
For the past few days my little guy has had a diaper rash. Today it was extra red and sore. The poor guy. I purchased some new diaper rash cream to see if it would help. My husband offered to change his diaper before leaving for work. I told him the diaper rash cream was on the fireplace mantle.
While my husband was applying the cream on our son I could hear our little guy screaming. The poor guy was so sore!
When my husband left for work I went into the family room where he had been changing my sons diaper. On the coffee table, I saw the change pad, the wipes, the balled up wet diaper, and the jar of diaper cream still on the fireplace mantle. Sitting with the other items was a tube of Baby Chest Cream…containing Eucalyptus, Menthol and Lavender Oil.
I assumed this chest congestion cream is what my husband used for my son’s diaper rash cream. Hence, the screaming. Yikes!
When my husband arrived home this evening, he confirmed that he in fact used the chest cream. Well, my son survived. He smelled quite minty, and my husband got a reminder to read the labels, no matter how rushed you might be.
